Devour Books with Dana and Siobhan’s Novelties both nominated me for this award in the past few days. Thank you! Definitely check out their blogs because they’re awesome, and they read some really interesting books. I’ve decided to answer their questions in one post and tag only 11 people. Here we go!
What is one book you would make everyone read if you could, that is NOT a classic?
I think it would be The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom.
What is your favorite season and why?
Spring because I love how fresh and new everything is. I love that moment where I can open all my windows and sit outside for the first time.
Where do you prefer to buy your books from?
Used bookstores are my favorite. They’re cost effective and more friendly to our environment.
Do you lend people your books?
Only my mom.
Do you have a favorite Disney movie and if so, what is it?
What is a scent that always brings back a good memory?
I actually don’t have an answer for that one.
If you had to run a blog about something that wasn’t books, what would it be?
What is one fact about you that people don’t normally know?
I can’t swim with my head above water.
If you could meet one author, who would you meet?
Neil Gaiman. He seems fun.
Who is a person you admire and why?
My former Greek professor Tim Winters. He’s an incredible teacher, a very smart person, and an incredibly caring and open individual. He goes so far beyond the call of duty to make college a positive experience and to give students a place to feel welcome. I learned a lot from him.
Where is one place in the world you hope to visit?
What was the last book that made you cozy warm?
I suppose it would be when I reread Emma by Jane Austen.
What marginalized rep would you most strongly like to see more of in books?
All groups should be represented better.
What was the last book you couldn’t finish?
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
Who’s your new favourite character?
Mark Watney from The Martian by Andy Weir
Do you like spooky books?
Yes. I love a good Gothic book.
What’s your most recent scary read?
House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig
What are you planning to be for Halloween?
Captain America if my dress still fits. Hermione if it doesn’t. I really wanted to be Cher from Clueless, but I couldn’t spare the cash this month because we’re moving.
What is your favourite age category (MG, YA, NA, etc.)?
I don’t have one because I don’t think the age differences are important when you’re an adult.
What most recently published book are you worried in reading?
If I’m worried about reading it, I’m not going to read it.
What’s your guilty reading pleasures?
Romantic comedies. I can read 50 that end the same way, and I’m still happy and laughing.
Do you prefer book twitter or bookstagram?
Instagram I think because I like seeing everyone’s pictures.
If you’d like to participate, I’m going to totally cheat and ask you to pick Dana’s list or Siobhan’s list or mix up 11 questions from both lists to answer! Most importantly, I just want to you to know I appreciate you and your blog!
